What the official FAQ confirms
The manufacturer says its sunscreens contain zinc oxide and identifies several lotions that also contain titanium dioxide, including Sensitive, Baby, Kids, Sport and Sheer Face. That is information about filter identity. It does not, in the inspected FAQ, specify particle-size distributions for those formulas. [1]
Zinc versus titanium is not nano versus non-nano
Both names identify chemical ingredients. Neither by itself answers a question about particle size in a particular finished product. A conclusion about one lotion should not automatically be extended to sticks, sprays or a reformulated product. [1][2]
Do not use the label gap to infer danger or safety
The absence of a non-nano statement is not a laboratory measurement and does not by itself prove a product is unsafe. FDA evaluates sunscreen ingredients and formulations, while practical sun protection depends on the labeled performance and correct use. A particle-size preference is a separate verification question. [2]
Verify a bottle, not a brand slogan
Imagine two online descriptions disagree. Identify the full product name, market and current package, then ask the manufacturer about its particle-size specification. Meanwhile, choose appropriate broad-spectrum protection and follow application directions; AAD recommends SPF 30 or higher and water resistance. [1][3]
