The US Premium panel gives a concrete answer

The manufacturer lists 80 calories and 18 grams of sugar per 200 ml for Premium Ginger Beer. Its ingredients include sugar, ginger root and ginger flavoring. That makes it useful to evaluate as a flavored drink rather than assume the ginger makes it a health supplement. [1]

Light reduces sugar but does not remove it

The US Light panel lists 35 calories and 9 grams of sugar per 200 ml. It uses fructose and remains a sugar-containing beverage. Compare equal volumes and the amount actually poured; a larger serving can reduce the practical difference between versions. [1][2]

Flavor intensity is not evidence of a treatment dose

The product page describes ginger sourcing and taste but does not establish that drinking it reproduces a clinical ginger preparation. The inspected NCCIH information concerns particular uses and preparations, not a promise that ginger beer treats nausea or another condition. [1][3]

Count the whole drink

Imagine a 200 ml serving of Premium is used in a cocktail. The mixer contributes its listed sugar and calories, while any other ingredients add their own. The ginger beer itself is nonalcoholic; the finished cocktail may not be. [1][2]
