Check the named formulation

The manufacturer’s Canadian Advanced Collagen Tablets panel identifies hydrolyzed collagen from bovine skin. This is cattle-derived protein. The conclusion applies to that identified formulation; use the current label for the exact product and country because a brand can sell multiple formulas. [1]

Dairy-free is a different statement

A product can contain cattle-derived collagen without containing milk. The dairy-free and soy-free icons on the inspected page therefore do not make it vegan. Vitamin C added to the formula does not change the source of its collagen. [1]

Compare like claims

Imagine a shopper chooses the bottle because of its dairy-free icon. That may address a dairy preference but does not answer the animal-source question. For vegan suitability, examine all ingredients and an applicable vegan statement rather than transferring meaning from an unrelated free-from claim. [1]
