Heavy cream contains amino acids through its milk protein. Its protein amount in a typical small quantity is modest compared with its total energy contribution.

The composition is mostly something other than protein

USDA SR Legacy lists fluid heavy whipping cream at 2.84 g protein and 340 kcal per 100 g. Thus a hypothetical 15 g portion contributes about 0.426 g protein and 51 kcal. Finding protein in cream does not make a small pour a substantial protein serving. [1]

Amino-acid presence is not a quantity claim

Proteins are made of amino acids. That biological fact does not mean every protein-containing food supplies similar amounts per serving. The ingredient weight and the portion used matter. Whipped products with added sugar or other ingredients need their own record rather than an automatic copy of plain fluid cream. [2]

A hypothetical coffee addition

If two drinks each contain 15 g of this reference cream, the combined cream contributes about 0.852 g protein. Count the actual amount rather than describing the drinks as a protein supplement merely because dairy is present. This example concerns nutrient arithmetic, not a recommendation about coffee or cream intake. [1]
